Brief description
Thorough, direct, adaptable, patient, helpful, reliable. Their motto: I need an ideal!
Strengths
Chestnuts need a clear pattern of behaviour which they can follow. They are tireless in their effort to be useful therefore they are profitable for every team. They deal with tension and unfriendliness with bright adaptability and they always keep in mind their well-being. Their life should have a meaning, they do not like just "vegetating". Once they find their ideal they act consistently and responsively. Meanwhile they manifest their activeness and they subject their entire life to it. Old and outdated things must free up space to new and better things.
Weak points
People born in Chestnut are sometimes too radical when they try to subject everything – even feelings – to the ideal which they have set up. Their biggest problem is that they are sometimes "blind" and they unconditionally surrender to an aim which sometimes even is not theirs – and other people take it as ordinary obedience. If they are convinced of something they often press on themselves as well as on others. They do not fear conflicts. If they want to achieve a high goal they often seek conflicts and they can act very flatly and intolerantly.
What should Chestnuts be careful about?
Chestnut as the only sign takes the responsibility of being useful for the society. If they meet somebody of the same conviction they are absolutely happy. Even though life is not perfect it does not bring these people down; they can survive in inhospitable conditions and they withstand even a long march through the desert. There is only one condition to feel good: these people have to know why they are doing it. They are not magicians of survival just for the survival itself, they need an ideal to identify with and to follow. Especially young Chestnuts should keep in mind that while seeking the truth they may meet bad leaders or sectarians. The mentioned ability of obedience and uncritical subordination of self-interests to a greater whole is not always a good virtue. It may bring grief to Chestnuts and their loved ones. Therefore it is essential to teach young Chestnuts how to use their own judgement and own will – or we can help them find a really reasonable ideal. Despite our scepticism we must not forget one fact about this sign which is truly human and high-minded: Chestnuts feel absolutely comfortable when they can do good for others, which is very rare in these days. However, these people should be aware of the fact that other people may take advantage of them.
