Brief description
Just, equal, tolerant, generous, willing, individualistic. Their motto: Live and let live!
Strengths
Joy of life, agreeing with life and optimism – these are basic personal characteristics of people born in the sign of Elm. They are not overbearing, selfish beings. On the contrary, they are altruists. They often possess great personal charm and strikingly positive radiance. Their main quality is tolerance. They long for an independent world full of style and they energically take responsibility for it. The meaning of life is not in the future for them – they want to do the good now and here. To do this they need recognition or even admiration – then they are generous, hearty, entertaining and unbeatable in love.
Weak points
They certainly get into troubles when they constantly have to break through: Elms are not big fighters – it contradicts their nature. They are constantly afraid that somebody will unfairly or unreasonably attack them. If that happens their reaction is completely confused. They do not know how to deal with such low behaviour and they unfortunately cannot effectively defend themselves. Therefore Elms are rather arrogant because of security reasons – but unfortunately, they make more enemies. Elms take everything that doubts tolerant coexistence as existential threat. Another source of problems is expressed support and genuine compassion, which is a powerful driving force of their altruistic way of life. Elms sometimes tend to fool around with fire that destroys them.
What should Elms be careful about?
Sacrifice is sometimes essential but it should not be good-for-nothing. Not everyone has to be Albert Schweitzer. That would not help the world – on the contrary, that would just destroy the Elms. It is not to give more than we actually take all life long. Elms should carefully pay attention to the balance of these two poles otherwise they will make they life complicated. People born in the sign of Elm should learn to resist people who try to take advantage of them. They have sufficiently strong personality to face them. They should also realize that it is not always beneficial to help others or to give them priority. In these days you will be quickly regarded as an idealist or fool if you think of the well-being of others and not of your own well-being. Emotionally cold egoists often mistakenly interpret this behaviour as ordinary silliness.
It makes one think when we learn that the tree of altruists is affected by a mysterious illness and it is furthermore becoming extinct because of greedy developers who are more and more reducing the level of groundwater. Elms should not close their eyes, they have to defend themselves – even though they do not like it.
