A bison is a peaceful animal. A lot of wise chiefs of Indian tribes worshipped bisons, thanks to which they knew that their prayers would be answered. Not only a bison showed them the right way in the spiritual area – it often served as their only livelihood. An old legend says that if a bison – usually the leader of the herd – met a chief of an Indian tribe, they were able to connect on a mental level to such a degree that bisons gave up to the hunters of the tribe without trying to escape – to serve to the higher goodness before leaving for happy hunting grounds.
